Meet Oklahoma, or as we like to call him, Okie. Okie is a sprightly cowboy, always sporting a wide straw hat, cowboy boots, and a kerchief around his neck. He has a magical lasso that can pull in anything from anywhere, like luscious strawberries from a field or a giant T-Rex skeleton from the Sam Noble Museum. Okie is quite a character, always bursting with energy and excitement, much like the kids who participate in field trip activities in his vibrant state. These kids, Okie's buddies, are not ordinary tots! They are adventurers, explorers, and mini-scientists, always ready to uncover a new secret or learn something interesting. Field trip days are their favorites! They get to roam around the sprawling plains, watch live rodeos, learn about Native American history, or explore the wonders of the universe at Science Museum Oklahoma. Okie loves building giant sandcastles with them at the Great Salt Plains or watching as they gasp in awe at the sight of magnificent bison herds at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. These kids are always up for a good laugh, and Okie is the master of jokes. Like the time when he pretended to be a scarecrow in the cornfields and gave everyone a fun scare. Or when he told them that the Oklahoma state vegetable was the watermelon, and everyone giggled, knowing well that a watermelon is a fruit. With Okie around, every day is a riot of laughter, learning, and endless adventures. So, if you're ever in the Sooner State, don't forget to say "Howdy" to Okie and join him and his buddies on their fun-filled field trips!
