Flip, with his bright pink feathers and black belt in Taekwondo, is not your ordinary flamingo. He migrated from sunny Florida to Ohio for one reason only— to join the Ohioan Taekwondo kids, a group of youngsters known for their legendary kicking skills and their ability to break wooden boards with just a chop of their hands – Chop! Chop! But don't be fooled; these kids aren't all about chops and kicks. They also have the goofiest of laughs and the heartiest of spirits. They tumble, they fall, but they always bounce back up, much like Flip who often trips over his long, spindly legs but always manages to land back on his feet, albeit in the most comical manner. Flip and his Ohioan buddies roar with laughter as they practice their high kicks, spinning kicks, and, of course, their favorite—the flamingo kick! Because in Ohio, Taekwondo is more than just a martial art; it's a way of life! It's about friendship, resilience, and having loads of fun. So, if you ever find yourself in the Land of Oh-Wow-Do, don't forget to look for a pink flamingo practicing his kicks with a bunch of kids. Hill's Martial Arts is proud to be celebrating 15 years in business! Over the years, our students have achieved incredible success, with 270 of them achieving the rank of Black Belt. This year, we are aiming to reach 300! Our students inspire us to pass on physical techniques, interpersonal skills, and personal strength and self-growth, and we are committed to helping them reach their full potential. For the past 9 years, our After School Enrichment Programs have been supporting local schools and their students. We have donated the proceeds from these programs - more than $45,000 - to the schools' PTO, helping the school, faculty, and students. We look forward to continuing to provide support for our school districts and families in the upcoming year. Our Corporate and Community Seminars have been offering organizations and participants the chance to enhance security and camaraderie. We have received positive feedback from organizers that they have found our seminars engaging, insightful, entertaining, and empowering. Our ambition is to make these seminars available to all businesses and organizations to benefit from the same positive attributes.
