Deep in the heart of the hustle and bustle of New York, the state where skyscrapers kiss the clouds and pizzas are as wide as manhole covers, there's a secret world that most grown-ups don’t know about. A world bubbling with creativity and laughter, where tiny hands mold and shape magic from simple clay. This is the land of the Ceramics Kids, a group of New York children who are as diverse, vibrant, and full of energy as the city itself. Leading this dynamic band of artists is none other than Clayful Claymington, an imaginary character who is as hilarious as a squirrel balancing on a hot dog. Clayful, with his rainbow-colored overalls and a hat that spins with every idea he gets, is a master of ceramics. He has a marshmallow-shaped belly from all the pizza he eats, which shakes like jelly when he chuckles, which is often! Clayful guides the Ceramics Kids, teaching them to shape dragons with toothpick teeth or unicorns with spaghetti horns. Often, the kids create towers as tall as the Statue of Liberty, or at least, as tall as their pet poodles. The kids laugh and giggle as Clayful makes the clay dance between his fingers, taking the form of wacky creations, like donut-shaped dinosaurs or broccoli-wielding superheroes! In this unique corner of New York, where the Ceramics Kids and Clayful Claymington reign, clay isn't just clay. It's a ticket to an exciting world of imagination, creativity, and endless fun. After all, in the Empire State, dreams are as tall as the skyscrapers, and every piece of clay holds the promise of a new adventure.

Since 1989, Gate Hill has been a part of the Male family. Josh, Bob, and Jennifer, the camp directors emeritus, have been overseeing the daily operations of the camp and providing supervision to both staff and campers. However, the word “family” extends beyond the Male family, with campers, parents, and staff all part of the Gate Hill family. We want to ensure that our campers have a fulfilling experience, so we provide parents with updates on their child’s progress, friendships, and stories that make them smile. We are also available to answer any questions that parents may have to make sure their child has the best possible camp experience.
