In the grand state of Nevada, where the sun shines brighter than a diamond and the deserts stretch out like a vast, sandy ocean, there live a group of kids with a serious passion for baseball. Among these sun-kissed, sand-loving youngsters, there was a team known as the 'Desert Dynamos' who were the talk of the town for their incredible skills in baseball. The heart and soul of the Desert Dynamos was a kid named, Benny "Bunt" Johnson, who had a funny mop of hair that danced in all directions as he ran around the field, and energy that could put the Duracell Bunny to shame. Benny loved baseball more than anything else, even more than his grandma's famous barbeque ribs! He was known to hit a baseball so hard, it could cross the state line and land in Arizona. In Nevada, the baseball fields were as hot as a pizza oven in July, but that didn't bother the kids one bit. They would run across the sand as if they had springs in their shoes, catch balls flung higher than the tallest cactus and slide on the ground as if it were a water park slide, and not the scorching desert sand. These kids played baseball in a style that was uniquely Nevadan. After all, they were the Desert Dynamos, the pride of Nevada, a band of youngsters who combined the energy of a stampeding bull and the courage of a lion. And every time Benny "Bunt" Johnson and his team took to the field, the desert itself held its breath, waiting to see what magic they would conjure next.
