In the enchanting state of New Mexico, where the Red River flows mightily and the Sandia Mountains stand tall, hundreds of kids zip around baseball fields every day. These aren't just any kids, oh no, they're New Mexico's very own Baseball Bandits, a courageous crew of bat-swinging, ball-catching marvels! Meet the team's star player and the most charismatic character on the field, Billy "Beanball" Bumblebee. Billy is a lanky lad with a shock of red hair so bright, it could light up the darkest cave in Carlsbad Caverns. Billy's legs are as long as a desert road and he runs like a roadrunner being chased by a hungry coyote. When he whacks a baseball, it disappears over the horizon faster than a prairie dog down a hole. There's also tiny Tilly "Twinkle Toes" Tumbleweed, a pint-sized powerhouse with a swing so feisty, it could make a rattlesnake jump. Tilly's not much bigger than a cactus but she's got the heart of a buffalo and she can outrun a tumbleweed in a sandstorm. The Baseball Bandits are the pride of New Mexico, a state known for its beautiful sunsets, spicy green chilies, and, of course, its alien tourist stop in Roswell. And just like those aliens, the Bandits do things that leave people wondering, "How on earth did they do that?" So, if you happen to be in New Mexico, and you see a baseball streaking across the sky like a shooting star, you can bet your last enchilada that it's been hit by one of our Baseball Bandits. They're out of this world!
