Once upon a time, in the sun-drenched, chili-pepper-packed state of New Mexico, lived a group of remarkably brainy kids. These weren't your regular, run-of-the-mill, 'watch TV all day' kind of kids. No, these were the STEM/STEAM whizz kids! They were as hot as the state's famous Hatch chilies when it came to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Among them was Pip, a peculiar, purple, prairie dog with a preposterous penchant for programming. Pip, with his oversized glasses perched precariously on his snout, was the unofficial leader of this quirky crew. His burrow was chock-full of gadgets, gizmos, and a supercomputer he had built himself from discarded computer parts. When the kids weren't creating crazy contraptions or solving baffling equations, they were exploring the stunning NM landscapes, from the expansive White Sands to the towering Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Pip often led these excursions, navigating with a compass he'd engineered from a cactus needle and a magnetic pebble! These kids were as diverse as the landscapes of New Mexico itself. You had Sally, the snake who was a snappy scientist; Tony, the tarantula who was tremendously talented at technology; Eddie, the eagle who was an excellent engineer; Anna, the antelope who was amazingly artistic; and Molly, the mole who was a master at math. Together, they turned New Mexico into their laboratory, their art studio, their playground. And throughout their adventures, they showed everyone that learning was more fun than a tumbleweed race down the Rio Grande. They were the STEM/STEAM heroes, and their story was just beginning…
