These are the Color Crusaders, the most daring, imaginative, and downright funny painters you've ever seen! Led by their fearless leader, Captain Colorific, a sprightly little fellow who wears a paint-splattered cape and a hat with a rainbow plume, these kids know how to have fun with colors. With paintbrushes that twirl like magic wands, they create a riot of colors that could make a rainbow look pale! They can turn a boring, blank canvas into a sprawling jungle teeming with fluorescent flamingos, polka-dotted panthers, and turtles wearing top hats. Their favorite game is 'Guess the Goo,' where they close their eyes, dip their hands in paint, and guess the color by its feel. And let's not forget the epic paint fights that end with everyone looking like a walking, giggling abstract art masterpiece. Don't even ask about the time they tried to paint Captain Colorific's pet chameleon, Chroma - let's just say he ended up as the most colourful creature in all of New Jersey! From climbing walls, swings, and zip lines to dedicated zones for pretend play and art, The Happy Hive offers both high-energy fun and creative outlets. While we cater to children ages 1-13 for neurotypical kids, we have no age limit when it comes to kids with special needs—because play should have no boundaries. At The Happy Hive, we believe every child deserves a space where they can feel safe, included, and free to be themselves.
At Color Me Mine Princeton, we think everyone is an artist! We have tools and tips to help even a novice painter bring a masterpiece to life. When you come in to paint, you’ll choose from a selection of over 100 pottery pieces ranging in price from $18 on up. You’ll pay a $10 studio fee to cover unlimited underglaze paint, tools (such as tape, sponges, stencils, & stamps), staff help, and the kiln firing process. Once your piece is dried, we will glaze it and fire it in our kilns to brighten the colors and add a protective coating. The kiln process even makes pottery food-safe and dishwasher-safe (though pieces will last longer if they are hand-washed).
