The children of New Jersey are just as creative as Doodle McDazzle. Armed with tubes of glue, paint pots, and a limitless imagination, they are little wizards, transforming everyday objects into magnificent art. They can turn a simple rock into a cuddly pet, a toilet paper roll into a super telescope, or even a shoebox into a spectacular spaceship! The spirit of New Jersey thrives in these young artists, their hands as busy as honey bees, their minds buzzing with creative energy. For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.

Our campers enjoy a wide variety of activities and experiences that are designed to foster growth and development. From swimming and sports, to arts and crafts, to leadership and team building, we strive to provide campers with an environment in which they can thrive and have fun!
I have always been passionate about art. From a young age, my parents enrolled me in art classes, and I knew that creating was the only path for me. As I grew up, I focused on ceramic lessons. I loved the clay medium and all of its possibilities. My commitment to art paid off when I was accepted into the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) for my Bachelor's degree in Fine Art (BFA). After graduating, I worked for a gallery in the Baltimore/Washington area as an art consultant. I then went back to MICA to receive my master's degree in art teaching (MAT). After graduating, I worked in Maryland public schools as an art teacher in grades K-5 for three years. When I got married and relocated to New Jersey, I opened up my own art studio and got daycare certified. I teach all media including painting, drawing, ceramics and paper mache. My students have been accepted into prestigious art schools such as Parsons, MICA and Rutgers Mason Gross, and I also offer adult art classes which many of my former college graduates join. My name is Denise and I am a proud graduate of MICA with a BFA and MAT. I am passionate about sharing my love of art with others, and I am dedicated to helping students reach their artistic goals. My art studio classes are designed to teach students all media while also helping them with college portfolio preparation. I am proud that 100% of my students who have pursued the arts have been accepted into prestigious art schools.
We strive to instill a lifelong love of the performing arts and a passion for dancing in each and every student. Our teachers are experienced professionals in the industry and they stay current with the latest trends through continuing education. This allows us to push the boundaries of creativity in our teaching methods and choreography. We believe that having a strong foundation of positive self-esteem and a passion for the performing arts will serve our students well in their future endeavors.

Our gymnastics classes include not only the traditional disciplines of gymnastics, rhythmics, acrobatics, and trampoline, but also the Xcel program.
