Nicknamed the "Racquet Rascals," they were known for being the most fun-loving, determined bunch of mini tennis stars. The Racquet Rascals, with their brightly colored tennis shoes and caps worn backward, could often be spotted dashing around the numerous tennis courts dotting the neighborhoods of Keene, Portsmouth, and beyond. Among them was their leader, a tall, lanky kid with freckles and a mop of unruly brown hair called Twisted-Twister. Twisted-Twister was a lad of many quirks. He had a funny ritual of tying and retying his shoelaces three times before each game. He claimed it was his secret to hitting those perfectly twisted shots.
