In the wonderfully whimsical world of Nebraska, affectionately known as NE, there is a group of kids who are champion sharpshooters. They're not your ordinary bunch of kids; they're the NE Kidsharpshooters, a legendary crew who participate in the exciting activity of Riflery. Their backyard is the sprawling plains and majestic cornfields, where the wind whispers secrets and the sunsets paint a sky filled with dreams. The Kidsharpshooters are led by their beloved and slightly nutty guide, Colonel Kernel. This old chap isn’t a real colonel, and he's not made of corn, no sir. He's an old scarecrow who hopped off his post one day and decided to teach the kids about riflery. Dressed in an eccentric mix of farmer’s overalls and a military jacket, with a constantly spinning weather vane atop his straw hat, Colonel Kernel is as hilarious as he is wise. He claims to have been a top maize marksman in his day, whatever that means! The kids of this riflery crew, from Omaha to Lincoln, are as diverse as the fields of Nebraska. Yet, they all share a common love for this exciting sport. You’ve got Billy, who can hit a bullseye while standing on one foot, Suzy, the whizz-kid who can calculate wind speed in her head, and Tommy, the one who can spot a target better than an eagle. But don't be mistaken! These kids aren't just about shooting targets. They also learn about discipline, respect, and the value of teamwork. Plus, they have an absurd amount of fun, especially when Colonel Kernel goes off on one of his silly corny jokes. Life is never dull in the NE Kidsharpshooters club!
