In the majestic state of Nebraska, right smack in the middle of the USA, where the corn fields rise and fall like golden oceans, there exists a wild bunch of kids who aren't just ordinary kids. They are the Capo-Kids, agile like gazelles and as creative as Picasso. They're known for their superhuman moves that would make even a kangaroo appear uncoordinated and a sense of rhythm that could make a drum jealous. Oh, but these Capo-Kids don't spend their time riding tractors or throwing corn cobs; instead, they've taken to Capoeira, a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics, and music. They flip, they spin, they kick and they twirl to the rhythm of the Capoeira beat, all under the watchful eye of their master, an eccentric but lovable scarecrow named Twisting Tornado Ted. Twisting Tornado Ted, with his straw hat and raggedy overalls, might look like a regular scarecrow, but oh boy, he's anything but! He was once a rusty barn ornament until a bolt of lightning granted him life and a knowledge of Capoeira that would put the grandmasters to shame. Now, Ted is the Capo-Kids' guide and mentor, teaching them the wondrous ways of Capoeira from dawn to dusk. Even on the chilliest Nebraska nights, you can see the Capo-Kids with their steamy breath and rosy cheeks, practicing under the wide-open sky, promising each other they'll become the world's best Capoeira champions. With a whooping holler and a hearty laugh, Twisting Tornado Ted stands proudly among his students, knowing that the Cornhusker State is home to the fiercest, funniest and friendliest Capoeira crew in the land.
