In the heartland of America, amid the golden cornfields and sweeping plains, lies the state of Nebraska, lovingly called NE. NE is not just the home of the famous Cornhuskers or the beautiful Sandhills, it also has a secret club of super kids, the Aikido Avengers! These kids, aged between 5 and 15, gather from all corners of Nebraska, from Omaha's lofty skyscrapers to Lincoln's lush parks, eager to learn the ancient Japanese martial art of Aikido. But these kids are not just ordinary kids! Oh, no! They are guided by their eccentric mentor, Sensei Corn-Cob Carl. Now, Corn-Cob Carl isn’t your typical martial arts instructor. He’s a retired farmer with a hearty laugh, corn cob pipe, and a peculiar habit of using corn jokes during training, "Husk faster, kids!" he yells, chuckling at his own pun. The Aikido Avengers train diligently, their faces full of determination. They toss and tumble, mastering the art of redirecting opponents' power while giggling at Carl’s corny jokes. “One ear of corn says to the other, ‘I'm all ears!’” Carl laughs, demonstrating a perfect throw. The gym resounds with laughter, even as the Avengers mimic his move. You see, in Nebraska, amid the rolling plains and gleaming sunsets, these kids are learning more than Aikido. They're learning about respect, discipline, teamwork, and the art of laughing at corny jokes. They are the Aikido Avengers, corn-fed, Nebraska-bred, and ready to conquer the world with their martial arts moves and infectious laughter.

At ASKJ, we offer the perfect balance between traditional martial arts training and modern self-defense. Our 5 Circle System is an integration of techniques from Taekwondo, Karate, Judo, and Jiu-Jitsu, offering students a comprehensive martial arts curriculum. Our classes are split into age and rank groups, so students can learn at their own pace in a traditional group setting. We don’t measure success by championships or trophies—instead, we count success in terms of overcoming fear and achieving personal excellence. Our goal is to help each student discover and unlock their inner strength.
