They scale cliffs and crags with the speed and grace of mountain goats, wearing a grin as wide as the horizon! Imagine a character, let's call him Billy Boulder. Now, Billy isn't your average kid. He's the king of the Crag-kids, known far and wide for his exceptionally wide feet (rumor has it they're the size of dinner plates!), and fingers as nimble as a squirrels. Billy Boulder can cling onto rocks like a barnacle to a ship's hull. These daring Crag-Kids of NC have a funny habit. As they climb the towering cliffs, they love to yell out hilarious jokes. Billy Boulder's favorite is: "Why don't mountains ever get lost? Because they always 'peak' at the right time!" The echoes of their laughter ring louder than the chirping of the birds. Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats.
