Deep in the heart of Big Sky Country, where the buffalo roam and the mountains kiss the vibrant blue skies, lies the state of Montana. It's a land as wild as a cowboy's yodel and as breathtaking as a sunset-painted canvas. It's a place where kids don't just dip a toe in for a swim, they leap headfirst into roaring rivers, tranquil lakes, and the occasional super-sized puddle. In this Montana, where the grizzly bears give etiquette lessons, and the prairie dogs run a local newspaper, a group of kids, known as the Montana Goggle Goblins, have defied the odds and taken up swimming. Don't let their name fool you, though. They're not green, horned creatures; they're just ordinary kids with an extraordinary love for splishing and splashing! The Goggle Goblins' leader is Freddie the Fearless Fish, a 10-year-old boy with an infectious laugh, which sounds like a coyote serenading the moon, and a freckle-shaped birthmark which he swears is a treasure map. Freddie's motto is, "We swim not to escape life, but for life not to escape us." He's famous for his legendary backstroke down the Yellowstone River and once outswam a mischievous mermaid on Flathead Lake. The Goggle Goblins are a merry bunch who believe laughter cures cramps, and that aquatic ballet is a serious sport. They've got an otter named Ollie as their mascot who performs pre-swim comedy routines that would make a moose chuckle. So, if you happen to be in Montana, don't be surprised if you see kids swimming like fish, laughing like hyenas, and having more fun than a jackrabbit at a carrot festival.
