Welcome to the lighthearted, energetic land of Mississippi, or as our imaginary friend, Bouncy Bo, likes to call it, "Mega Super Sportsville Playland!" Bouncy Bo, an amiable, vibrant, purple hippo with neon green sneakers, is the self-proclaimed mayor of all sports in this state. When you zoom through the Mississippi map with Bo, you'll see children involved in all kinds of sportsfield activities, from baseball in Biloxi to soccer in Starkville. MS, as Bouncy Bo tells us, stands for "Mighty Sportsmen," because the kids here are just that! They know how to kick, throw, jump, and sprint like champions. They are the kind of kids who have grass stained knees, sunshine in their smiles, and laughter echoing as they chase a ball across the field. They are never afraid of a little sweat or a lot of challenge. Bouncy Bo often joins them, huffing and puffing, his big belly bouncing like a rubber ball. He sometimes tries to kick the football, but mostly ends up doing a cartwheel, making all the kids giggle. Other times, he’d attempt a slam dunk, only to get the ball stuck on his snout, turning him into a comical, walking basketball hoop! These kids, energized by Bouncy Bo’s antics, are a source of constant fun and laughter. In Mississippi, Bouncy Bo assures us, sports isn’t just about winning, it’s about learning, having fun, and most importantly, making memories worthy of the biggest, bounciest laughs. So, lace up your sneakers, don your sun cap, and join Bouncy Bo and the Mighty Sportsmen of Mississippi for a day of playful, sporty adventures!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
