Now, MO is a land of contrasts, where the bustling cities like Kansas and St. Louis meet the tranquil beauty of the Ozarks. It's as if Mother Nature played a game of chess and MO was her chessboard. The kids in MO, however, rather prefer the game of "Marco Polo" and "Sharks and Minnows" in the swimming pool than chess on a board. The swimming kids of MO are led by Captain Bubbles McSplash, an imaginary character as cool as a cucumber, who swims like a torpedo, wears flippers twice his size, and has a laugh that sounds strangely like a dolphin's chatter. Captain Bubbles' goggles are reputed to be enchanted, allowing him to see underwater like it's a beautiful sunny day! These buoyant boys and graceful girls do not just swim, they dance, they prance, they glide, and they slide, transforming the pools into their magical underwater kingdoms. They can turn a cannonball dive into a royal entrance that drenches everyone within a ten-foot radius. And they can make you believe that a belly flop is simply a new, avant-garde style of ballet. It's a whirlpool of laughter and splashy antics in MO's swimming pools, and the kids? Oh, they are just having the "swim" of their lives! For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations.
