Timothy and his friends take part in a variety of sports activities on the Sportsfield. From soccer to softball, lacrosse to cricket, track and field to frisbee, the Sportsfield is always filled with the laughter, shouts, and the sheer joy of these kids. They dart around the field like fireflies in the night, their energy as radiant as the sun that beams down on the Missouri plains. But what sets these Missouri kids apart is their determination and spirit, much like their state motto. They won’t just tell you they can kick a goal, hit a homerun, or run a mile - they'll show you. And if they don’t succeed the first time around, you better believe they’ll be back, trying again and again, always with a twinkle in their eyes and a grin on their faces. For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Our camp environment is specially designed to foster education, self-reliance, confidence and an active lifestyle for our campers. Our program is medically sound and tailored to provide support for children and adults with diabetes. We focus on helping our campers learn the skills to successfully manage their diabetes. At Camp Hickory Hill, we strive to create an environment where persons with diabetes can be surrounded by a supportive and encouraging community. Our goal is to equip campers with the knowledge and resources to develop self-confidence and an active lifestyle. Our medically-sound program provides comprehensive support along with educational opportunities to help campers develop the skills to successfully manage their diabetes. As a result, campers leave our camp with a newfound sense of self-reliance and confidence.
