In the vibrant, verdant state of Michigan, where the Great Lakes wink under the sunlight and the sand dunes play peek-a-boo with the clouds, an army of aquatic adventurers prepares for their favorite activity: boating and canoeing. These are no ordinary kids, oh no! They are the fearless Water Wobble Waddlers, led by their ever-enthusiastic, slightly eccentric, and hilariously clumsy leader, Captain Splish-Splash. Captain Splish-Splash, with his enormous rubber boots that squelch and squeak, is renowned for his boating skills, and his not-so-brilliant swimming skills. He was given his name after falling into the water more times than anyone could count. But, did that dampen his spirits? Absolutely not! These brave Wobble Waddlers, armed with their paddle-powered canoes, venture into the vast cerulean wonderland that is Michigan's water bodies. The lakes of Michigan, from Superior to Huron, and rivers like the Grand and the Kalamazoo, are their playgrounds. Whether they're weaving through the weeping willows or whizzing past the waddling ducks, they're always up for a splash-tacular adventure. These kids can be seen battling fierce (well, not so fierce) river currents, or rescuing their sandwiches from cheeky seagulls, all while laughing and learning the art of the paddle. It's not just about the thrill of the waves for these young mariners, but about their camaraderie, their shared belly laughs, and their endearing attempts to keep Captain Splish-Splash from falling overboard...again. So, if you're ever in Michigan and you hear the sound of squelching boots, see a canoe wobbling precariously, or spot a splash in the water followed by peals of laughter, you're probably witnessing the Water Wobble Waddlers on another rollicking adventure under the watchful, (and often wet) leadership of Captain Splish-Splash!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.

The Huron National Forest is an incredible backdrop for an unforgettable summer experience. Since 1941, Camp Cedar Ridge has been providing campers with the opportunity to grow closer to Christ, explore new experiences, and form strong, lasting friendships. This camp's mission is to invest in the lives of its campers and facilitate their personal and spiritual growth. To make the camp accessible to families of all backgrounds, tuition costs are kept low.
