In the magical land of Michigan where the Great Lakes frolic with the shoreline, and the cities hum tunes of enchanting tales, dwell the bravest adventurers you'll ever meet - the Michigan Mitten Munchkins. These aren't your ordinary children, oh no! They are daring, fun-loving, and known for their zest for life, and they have a secret power, the ability to conquer the electrifying world of Zip-Lining! Every day, as the sun sprinkles its first rays of light over the sprawling forests, the Mitten Munchkins zip their way through the air, their laughter echoing across the state. Lead by their fearless leader, Zippy the Zip-Lining Zebra, a quirky character who was born with a helmet on his head and an adventurous spirit in his heart, they soar across the skies. Zippy, with his iconic black and white stripes, is quite the riot! He’s known for his hysterical jokes and wild, yet uplifting stories. “Did you hear about the zebra that tried to play hide and seek? It was a real zebra-crossing!” he would say, and the Mitten Munchkins would giggle till their bellies ached. Like the time he mistook a squirrel for his tail during a zip-line glide, or that unforgettable incident where he zipped backwards because he forgot his favorite sunglasses atop the start tower. But, when it comes to zip-lining, Zippy and his Mitten Munchkins aren't just about fun and games. They also have a motto – grit, courage, and a dash of madness! Armed with these, they zip, zoom, and zigzag across Michigan, sharing laughter, making memories, and turning the state into a thrilling zip-lining paradise!

Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.

At YMCA Storer Camps, we understand the unique challenges faced by children dealing with the difficulties of cancer. That is why we offer Camp Catch-A-Rainbow (CCAR) for free. This camp is specifically designed for children between the ages of four and seventeen who are fighting or have fought cancer. At CCAR, kids can enjoy a variety of activities including swimming, archery, and horseback riding. They can also challenge themselves with high adventure ropes courses and explore their creative side through arts and crafts. We also offer canoeing as an activity at no cost to campers. At YMCA Storer Camps, we believe in the power of play to help children with cancer. Thanks to the generosity of donors and grants, Camp Catch-A-Rainbow is free for all campers. Our goal is to provide a safe and fun environment for kids to simply have a good time and build lifelong memories.
