Once upon a time, in the cool, ocean-kissed land of Maine, where the moose roam and lobsters scuttle, a lively group of youngsters engrossed themselves in a game as old as time – Lacrosse. The state itself, with its rugged coasts, towering forests, and lovely lighthouses, was like something out of a storybook. But these kids were the real heroes of our tale. Meet our peppy protagonist, Larry the Lively Lobster! Now, Larry wasn't your ordinary crustacean. He was a bright red bundle of endless energy who loved Lacrosse more than anything else in the whole wide world of Maine. Larry would scuttle onto the field, his claws clamping a lacrosse stick that was about four times his size, ready to play his heart out. Larry and his diverse gang of human and animal friends played Lacrosse under the watchful eye of the pine trees and the cheer of the gulls, their laughter echoing through the Maine air. They would run, pass, and score while Larry, the smallest of them all, would charge around the field, his tiny lobster legs moving at a speed that would make a roadrunner jealous. And oh boy! Whenever Larry scored – which was often despite his size – the entire state of Maine seemed to cheer with joy! In this land of blueberries and scenic beauty, Lacrosse was more than just a game to these kids. It was a celebration of friendship, teamwork, and the sheer fun of playing one’s heart out. Larry - the red, running, Lacrosse-loving Lobster - and his friends, were the heart and spirit of this beautiful state, making every game a thrilling tale to remember!

Winona Camps has been a treasured summer home for generations of boys since 1908. The camp is located on the ancestral homelands of the Pequawket people, a part of the Abenaki tribe and the larger Wabanaki Confederacy. Boys spend their summers living in tents on the shores of Moose Pond and engaging in traditional outdoor activities like canoeing, hiking, and swimming. At the same time, modern activities like rock climbing, kayaking, and lacrosse help campers explore new boundaries and develop lifelong skills. Winona also offers unique experiences like the BAT, Red-Gray competitions, and The Great Relay.
