The state of Maine, or ME as it is lovingly called, is a magical place where the moose roam free, lobsters play hide and seek in the deep blue sea, and children run faster than the wind in the sport of Track and Field. The kids in ME are not your average kids - they are 'The Maine Marvels', the most phenomenal track and field athletes you could ever imagine. The leader of the gang is 'Lightning Lenny', known as the fastest kid in the East, who could outrun a cheetah or even a sneeze! Lenny is so swift; they say he once finished a race in Portland before the starting gun even went off! Then there's 'Jumping Jackie', the girl who could leap so high, she can touch the sky. Jackie's jumps are so legendary that even kangaroos come to Maine to learn from her. According to local tales, Jackie once jumped so high; she stuck her hand out and rearranged a few stars in the sky! Don't forget 'Tossing Tommy', the champion of shot put and discus, who could hurl objects farther than the length of ten school buses! Tommy's throws are so powerful, folks say he once threw a discus from Augusta and it landed all the way in Bangor! The kids in Maine are a uniquely athletic bunch, full of spirit and passion for Track and Field. They train hard, laugh harder, and cherish every moment of their sport. Together, they make Maine not just a state, but a state of champions. So, the next time you hear a wild laughter blowing on the eastern wind, know this - it's the Maine Marvels, having the time of their lives!
