Every day, the kids would gather around Claybert, who would teach them how to mold him into all sorts of whimsical objects. Bowls with eyes, cups with tails, plates with wings, and teapots that could talk back. You see, in Maine, ceramics wasn't just about making pottery; it was about creating magical, absurd, and even hilarious objects that you couldn’t find anywhere else in the world. These children, with their paint-splattered aprons and glowing smiles, loved to get their hands dirty.
