Our story's hero is a charming character named Maine Moose, who wears a bright red explorer's cap with a blue feather stuck in it. Moose, though a bit clumsy, is the bravest of them all. He has maps for whiskers and compasses for eyes. His laughter sounds like gurgling brooks and his sneezes - well, they startle the fish out of the water! The Exploration Squad, led by Moose, meets every Saturday morning at the big old pine tree in the center of their town. Moose's nose starts twitching as it senses the direction of their next adventure. Be it the highest peak of the Appalachian mountains where snow angels are hiding, or the depths of the Acadia National Park, where the fireflies choreograph a glittering ballet, Moose leads the way.
