Deep within the heart of the United States, nestled between the great blue of the Atlantic Ocean and the rolling greens of the Appalachian Mountains, there exists a magical place known as Maryland, or as our cool imaginary character, Captain Crabby the Hiking Hero, likes to call it, "The Land of Mary." Now, the kids from Maryland are no ordinary kids. They are the adventurous little Marylandians, known for their unmatched courage and an overflowing love for hiking. Every weekend, they put on their magical hiking boots, given to them by Captain Crabby himself, to explore the enchanted lands. They march through the twinkling forests of Patapsco Valley, scramble up the sugarloaf mountain, and tiptoe around the serene paths of Chesapeake & Ohio Canal. Captain Crabby, with his red crustacean armor and a blue shell shield, guides these Marylandian kids through narrow trails, whispering ancient tales of hidden treasures and magical creatures that once roamed these lands. He is known to crack jokes at the most unexpected times making everyone laugh till their bellies ache. One of his favorites is, "Why don't mountains ever get lost? Because they always ‘peak’ at the map!" Of course, the joke always follows with a round of giggles from the kids, and an exaggerated eye-roll with a hearty laugh from the grownups. In Maryland, every hike with Captain Crabby is an enchanting adventure, a mystery to be unraveled, and a memory to be cherished forever. But remember, whenever you see a crab in Maryland, do tip your hat and say hello, for you never know, it might just be Captain Crabby keeping an eye on his favorite little Marylandians!
