Sailors of any race, color, religion, and national origin are all welcome, and scholarships are available. Ipswich Junior Sailing, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, making it even easier for families to get their children involved. The boats used are 14 Optimist dinghies, 8 Club 420 dinghies, and a Rhodes 19 – perfect for learning, but also challenging enough for competitive racers. With the addition of their racing program, experienced sailors can participate in local and regional regattas.
