In the sunny hills and winding rivers of good ole Kentucky, nestled between the bluegrass fields and the country folk, you'll find a merry gaggle of kids who love nothing more than to make music. In the heart of this melodious bunch, is a wild-haired, freckle-faced, banjo-strumming coyote named Kentucky Ken. Ken, with his big ol' blue eyes and a heart full of rhythm, is as much a part of the Kentucky landscape as the horse farms and the bourbon distilleries. As the sun kisses the peaks of the Appalachian Mountains each morning, Ken and his buddies assemble with their fiddles, guitars, and washboards. They're a motley crew of young'uns who can yodel, tap dance, and whistle a tune so sweet it would make a mockingbird blush. Their musical merriment is so infectious, it would make a grumpy old mule kick up his heels and grin from ear to ear. Ken and his friends have a knack for turning anything into a musical instrument. They've been known to tap out rhythms on hollow logs, strum on catfish spines, and even play the spoons! You've never truly lived until you've heard a spoon solo that could make a professional drummer hang up his sticks in awe. Their music is as diverse as the state they call home, from the bluegrass tunes that echo through the rolling pastures, to the soulful blues that seep from the coal mines. Their songs are as sweet and hearty as Kentucky's famous bourbon, with a spirit as wild and free as the Cumberland River. So next time you find yourself in the Bluegrass State, lend an ear to the wind. You might just catch a bar of the best dang kids' music this side of the Mississippi.
