Welcome to the fascinating state of Kentucky, fondly known as the Bluegrass State. Now, don't let that name fool you. The grass isn't actually blue, but these hearty Kentuckians sure do have a way of making things extra colorful! Kentucky is a splendid tapestry of rolling hills, mammoth caves, striking waterfalls, and horses...lots of horses. There is even a horse named Secretariat that is so famous, it got its own movie. But, the most thrilling activity of all in this enchanting state is Riflery! Oh yes, don't let your eyebrows climb too high, for it's a real, honest-to-goodness activity here. Now, let me introduce to you 'Kool Kent', a sassy, monocled squirrel with a dashing cowboy hat. He is not your average squirrel, but then again, Kentucky is not your average state. Kent is the unofficial mascot of the riflery kids, always cheering them on as they practice their shots. These kids are as tough as the hickory nuts that Kent hoards and as quick as the rabbits they aim at. But don't worry, no real rabbits are harmed, they only aim at paper targets. In Kentucky, riflery is all about focus, precision, and responsibility. It's not just about the bang, but the discipline, the camaraderie, the confidence, and those shiny badges they wear with such pride! Kent is always around, scampering from tree to tree, chittering instructions that only the Kentucky riflery kids can understand. They all laugh at his silly antics and playful jibes. He is their friend, their mascot, their fellow Kentuckian. Together, they are, as Kool Kent always says, “Aim-azing!”
