The fantastical state of Kansas, or as our cool imaginary friend, Captain Tumbleboggle - a quirky, fun-loving kangaroo with skis for feet - calls it, "The Land of Wizardry and Wheat", is one huge sprawling playground for everyone. This magical place, filled with ruby red sunsets and fields of sunflowers that reach up to tickle the sky, is not exactly renowned for mountains or snow. But, that doesn't stop its daring young inhabitants from indulging in the exhilarating sport of skiing. These brave Kansan kids, with wild laughter echoing across the plains, strap on their shiny skis and zoom around on the frosty winter mornings. They pretend they're traversing down the steep slopes of an alpine mountain, or participating in an icy Olympic event. Captain Tumbleboggle, with his ski-feet and a twinkle in his eye, always leads the charge, zipping and zooming with the kids, their laughter filling the winter air. “Who needs mountains, when you have imagination?” Captain Tumbleboggle often exclaims as he performs his gravity-defying ski jumps over the snow-covered wheat fields. The young skiers of Kansas believe, just because their state is as flat as a pancake, it surely won't stop them from flying down hills, real or imaginary, and scattering the snowflakes around. And so, Captain Tumbleboggle and the skiing kids of Kansas continue to redefine skiing as we know it, turning the ‘flat’ into ‘fun-tastic’. "Because in Kansas," Captain Tumbleboggle says with a wide grin, "we don't just ski, we ski with a twist!"
