Indiana, the good ol’ Hoosier State! A place where the cornfields sway like ocean waves and the kids – well, they surf. Yes, you heard it right, surf! Now I know what you're thinking, it's landlocked and the closest thing to a wave is a particularly enthusiastic high-five from a basketball player. But, that doesn't stop the kids of Indiana from catching waves in their own unique way. Meet our cool imaginary character, Corn Cob Cody. He's quite the character, with his sun-bleached hair, straw hat, and ever-so-charming freckles. Cody, being as innovative as he is, invented "corn-surfing." He was not going to let the lack of an ocean stop him from shredding some waves. So, he built a giant slide in his backyard, called it the "Corn-tastic Wave," and began to surf on dried corn husks! The kids of Indiana loved Cody's idea and like kernels popping into popcorn, corn-surfing became the hottest trend in town. On Saturdays, instead of the usual basketball game, you see kids lining up with their husk boards, waiting for their turn to ride the Corn-tastic Wave. Laugh all you want, but these kids have got the spirit of the sea in their hearts. So, the next time you imagine Indiana, think cornfields, basketball, and corn-surfing! These are the kids who have made surfing possible in Indiana, and trust me, they're having a kernel of a time!
