They were the proud members of the Illinois Textile Tribe, a group of kids who could transform mere threads into dazzling designs and fabulous fashions. The leader of this tribe was none other than Sir Stitch-a-lot, a sprightly character with a thimble for a hat and a needle for a wand. With his bushy mustache that curled at the ends like a spun cotton candy and a pair of thick spectacles virtually magnifying his twinkling eyes, he guided these little tailors, teaching them the secrets of the stitch, the beauty of the bobbin, and the wonder of the weave. Every day after school, the kids would gather at Sir Stitch-a-lot's magical textile workshop. With laughter bubbling in the air and creativity fluttering like butterflies, they would weave stories into scarves, dreams into dresses and love into linens. The US Engineering League is a prominent nationwide establishment that passionately supports STEM-focused education. We believe in the power of experiential learning and thus emphasize hands-on learning through competitive challenges. Since our inception in 2018, we have been the proud USA National Office for the acclaimed World Robot Olympiad, a global robotics competition that has over 35,000 participants from more than 80 countries. In addition to robotics, our educational offerings span across various STEM sectors such as coding, eSports, engineering, science and more. We're delighted to be connected with several of the most prominent STEM competition organizations. Our primary learning center is nestled in the heart of Naperville, IL. However, we understand the importance of accessibility and have therefore expanded our reach. We offer our well-rounded programs at a range of locations including schools, community centers, park districts, libraries, and even religious institutions. We are committed to making our educational opportunities available to as many children as possible, regardless of their location. DEBUT Creative Center & Theater-Studio is a dual-language (English–Russian) program where kids explore creativity, confidence, and self-expression. From theater and dance to fencing and stage performance, children can try new activities and discover their unique talents. Small class sizes let instructors give each child personalized attention, helping them feel comfortable, supported, and confident as they learn. Kids build artistic skills while also developing social confidence, teamwork, and poise on stage and in everyday life. Our programs celebrate each child’s individuality, combining fun, hands-on experiences with a focus on personal growth—all while keeping Russian language and culture an important part of the curriculum.
