In the whimsically wonderful state of ID, or Idaho as it's formally known, a peculiar thing happens every summer afternoon. A motley crew of kids gather at the edge of a sunflower field to share in a fantastic game of Cricket. It's not the chirping bug they're after, but a sport that's as iconic as mashed potatoes, Idaho's favorite dish. Our wild and wacky Idaho gang includes Billy 'Batter' Bumblebee, who's always buzzing with energy and can strike that cricket ball like a lightning bolt. Then we have 'Sticky Wicket' Johnny, as quick as a comet, always ready to leap and catch the ball even if it's shot to the moon. Lilly 'Leg-spinner' is a girl with pink pigtails and big glasses, but don't let her looks fool you, she can bowl a ball that spins faster than a tornado. Everyone's favorite, though, is our imaginary friend, 'Cricket-Crazy' Carl. He is a chatty chipmunk who wears a bright yellow cricket cap and cheers the loudest when anyone scores a run. Carl may be small, but his enthusiasm for the game is as vast as Idaho's endless sky. Cricket in Idaho may seem quite odd, but these kids love it more than a potato loves being mashed. They laugh, they play, and they run around till the sun dips below the horizon. It's a madcap, hilarious adventure every afternoon, full of dashing runs, spectacular catches, and chipmunk cheers. And remember, in the world of ID cricket, it's not about winning or losing, but about having a ton of fun under the golden Idaho sun!
