In the sprawling state of Idaho, where potatoes are as plentiful as the stars in the sky, there lives a squad of intrepid young adventurers known as the "Idaho Hiking Hootenannies." Now don't let their quirky name fool you. These kids could hike circles around a mountain goat on roller skates, and they have more trail mix in their pockets than a squirrel preparing for hibernation! The ringleader of the Hootenannies is a boy named Billy, but everyone around these parts calls him "Billy the Boot." Why? Well, let's just say his feet are about as big as Idaho itself, and when he stomps down on the trail, even the grizzly bears know to clear the way. Billy has a heart as big as his boots, though, and he's always ready to lend a hand, or a boot, to anyone in need. Then there's Little Susie Spud, the smallest of the bunch. Now, don't underestimate Susie because of her size. She is as fierce as a potato bug and can scuttle up a trail faster than a jackrabbit on a sugar rush. She's as sharp as a porcupine's quill, too, and there's no map she can't read (even if it's upside down). So, if you find yourself in Idaho, be sure to keep an eye out for Billy the Boot and Little Susie Spud, leading the fearless Idaho Hiking Hootenannies on another grand adventure. But be warned, if you hear a rumble in the distance, it might not be thunder. It could just be Billy's boots clomping down the trail. And, if you come across a trail of potato chip crumbs, well, that's just Susie's way of saying, "Follow me to fun!"
