In the state of Idaho, known to locals as the Gem State, nestled between its famous potato fields, there's a group of adventurous children who aren't afraid to touch the sky. They’re known as the Idaho Sky Divers or, as they prefer, the 'Ida-Flies.' Leading the troupe is a cool imaginary character called 'Potato Chip Pete.' Now, Pete is no ordinary hero. He's a potato farmer by day and a fearless skydiving instructor by night. He wears a suit made from the finest Idaho potato sacks and a helmet resembling an oversized russet potato, with little sprouts for antennae. The 'Ida-Flies' are an extraordinary squad of kids with a knack for adventure. They are as fearless as mountain lions, as agile as cheerleading grasshoppers, and as brave as the Idaho grizzly. They come from all over the state, from Boise to Post Falls, each with a spirit as wild as the Salmon River. They gather under the wide Idaho skies, strapped into their colorful parachutes, their hearts pounding with excitement. Pete, with his contagious laughter echoing through the valleys, guides them, reminding them to "fall with style and land like a potato, soft and grounded." It's quite a sight to see these potato-packed parachutes descending from the sky, leaving trails of laughter and potato chip crumbs behind. It's even more incredible when they land, their faces glowing brighter than a sunset over Shoshone Falls. And they always celebrate landing with a potato feast, where Pete tells them legendary stories of Idaho and their own skydiving victories. So if you're ever in Idaho and see miniature rainbows floating down from the sky, know that it's the 'Ida-Flies,' the bravest kids in the Gem State, led by the fearless Potato Chip Pete.
