In the heart of the United States, snuggled between the mighty Mississippi and the big blue skies, there lies a magical land named Iowa. Now, don't be fooled by its peaceful cornfields and friendly locals, for Iowa holds a secret. It is home to the greatest baseball-playing kids in the whole wide world! Imagine a gang of pint-sized superstars, swinging their bats with the power of superheroes, and catching fly balls like they have glue on their gloves. They call themselves the Corn Cob Crushers, and they are the coolest kids you'll ever meet. Leading them is their coach, a jolly giant named Chuck, who was once a corn-cob himself! Or at least that's what he likes to tell everyone. The Crushers are always ready for action. As soon as the rooster crows, they charge into the sparkling sunshine, cleats clattering, baseball caps sitting askew on their heads. With the scent of fresh popcorn wafting from the stands, they practice their pitches and swings in their magical baseball field, right in the middle of the largest cornfield in Iowa. Once, a corn stalk whispered to a popcorn kernel, who told a hot dog, who announced to the whole crowd that the Corn Cob Crushers' secret to their super baseball skills was... corn silk! According to Chuck, rubbing corn silk on their gloves before each game makes them unbeatable. Or maybe, it's just the magic of Iowa and the unshakable spirit of its baseball-loving kids. Either way, remember this: in the enchanting land of Iowa, corn isn't just for eating, it's for creating baseball legends!

Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.

At NLCBS, we believe in investing in the youth of our community. Our instructional play program is designed to help young players grow and develop, while also teaching them to love the game. We don't just focus on the technical skills; we also make sure the experience is fun. We are funded solely by participant fees and donations from businesses and other organizations who recognize the importance of investing in the youth of our community.
