Deep down in the sunny bosom of the United States is a land of pecan pies, juicy peaches and melodic country tunes, known as Georgia. The lucky kids in Georgia are just as sweet as their state's favorite dessert. These little peachlings, blessed with boundless energy and chattering charm, make the state all the more delightful. In this Peach State, there is a unique bunch of kids, who are not just bilingual but also "bi-fun-languages." They can speak two languages and double the fun! Imagine talking to your friends in English during the day and switching to Spanish at night, just to throw off the Moon who thinks he's eavesdropped on all your secrets. Our story's hero is one such kid named Jambalaya Jim. Now, Jambalaya Jim is no ordinary boy. He's got a pet squirrel named Sir Nutkins who helps him with his Spanish lessons. When Jim forgets how to say "tree" in Spanish, Sir Nutkins would point at a tree and squeak, "Árbol!" making Jim remember instantly. Every morning, when the sun pokes its sleepy head out from behind the cotton candy clouds, Jambalaya Jim and Sir Nutkins hop on their magical pecan shell boat, sailing across the rivers of syrup to the Bilingual Library, where they spend their day giggling over the funny words and soaking up the wisdom of two languages. This is the land of Georgia, a place where the kids are not just bilingual, but also "bi-fantastically-lingual," where every day is a new adventure in the world of words, and the laughter never gets lost in translation.
