In the charming and peachy state of GA, where the sun shines brighter and the peaches taste sweeter, a group of kids, known as The Saddle Scamps, ruled the horseback riding scene. Georgia, or GA as the cool kids say, was their grand playground - a paradise filled with majestic mountains, thick forests, and lush grasslands that stretched as far as the eye could see. These Saddle Scamps weren't your everyday youngsters. Oh no! They were fearless adventurers, riding their horses with confidence and style. Each day they would meet at the butt crack of dawn, saddled up on their trusty steeds, ready to explore all that GA had to offer. There was freckle-faced Annie with her fiery red hair, always leading the pack on her horse, Sherbet. Then there was Alfie, the quiet one, who could tame any wild horse with just one look from his eye patch - a souvenir from a pirate-themed birthday party gone wrong. Every day was a new adventure for The Saddle Scamps. They would ride through the apple orchards of Ellijay, gallop alongside the rivers in Blue Ridge, and race each other down the city streets of Atlanta. Their laughter echoed throughout GA, as they sought adventure, made new friends, and of course, got into a fair share of mischief. Their most loyal companion, Mr. Wiggles, the talking squirrel with an outrageous British accent, often rode in Alfie's pocket and provided hilarious commentary on their escapades. "Oh, BLIMEY! You call that a gallop, Alfie? I've seen snails move faster!" he would chortle, sending the kids into fits of laughter. Together, they were the brave adventurers, the fearless horse riders, the heart and soul of GA - They were The Saddle Scamps!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
