In the quaint and quiet state of Delaware, a troop of kids known as the Clay Crusaders meets under the guidance of their leader, Mud Maverick. Delaware is a special little state, the second smallest in the US, tucked between Maryland and New Jersey, yet it boasts a big spirit indeed. Its lush landscapes, vibrant beaches, and historical landmarks provide a rich resource of inspiration for our Clay Crusaders. Mud Maverick is no ordinary instructor; he's an eccentric, yet amiable, wizard who breathes life into clay! He’s got a rather comical appearance, with clay splattered overalls, a potter's wheel broomstick, and a hat that looks suspiciously like a hardened chunk of clay. His eyes sparkle with mischief, and his laughter is as infectious as the common cold during a snow day! The Clay Crusaders are a fearless, muddy bunch who love getting their hands dirty in the name of creativity. Each kid doesn’t mind having clay-stained fingers, because they know that’s the mark of a true clay conqueror! They plunge their hands into the squishy, oozing material, shaping and moulding it into all sorts of whimsical figures, from unicorns that belch rainbows to dragons that hiccup fireballs. Their laughter echoes throughout the Delaware valleys as they craft their clay creations, sometimes more on each other than on the pottery wheel! They share stories and jokes, their hands moving in rhythm with their chattering. Each day ends with the satisfaction of having created something unique, a testament of their friendship, and a product of their imagination - a bit like the lopsided, yet still proudly worn, clay hat of their leader Mud Maverick. Yes, Delaware might be small, but the imagination and spirit of the Clay Crusaders are anything but!
