A long, long time ago, in the decked-out kingdom of Colorado, where the Rocky Mountains danced with the sky, there existed a troop of super cool kids. Now, these weren't your typical everyday youngsters. They were the legendary 'Ice Gliders of Colorado', known throughout the realm for their spectacular ice-skating shenanigans. Led by their fearless leader, Frosty Whisker McSnowBreeze – a magical talking snowman with a carrot for a nose, icicle eyebrows, and a hilarious sense of humor – this bunch of kids would lace up their silver-bladed skates every day and zoom across the frozen lakes with the elegance of swans and the speed of snow cheetahs. Frosty, with his blue scarf whipping in the wind and his stick arms flailing, always led the parade with his signature move, the "Sneezing Snowflake Spin." It was believed in the kingdom, that the Ice Gliders were born with skates on. They could perform loops and leaps, twirls and spins with a grace that would make even a royal ballet dancer green with envy. But the most fun was when Frosty McSnowBreeze would tell one of his famous, gut-busting jokes, prompting the kids to laugh so hard that they would wobble on the ice and tumble in a flurry of giggles and snowflakes. Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups.
