ALLE Fencing Club specializes in saber fencing and welcomes students from beginners discovering the sport for the first time to experienced young athletes preparing for regional and national competitions. Youth beginner classes introduce children ages 6–12 to the fundamentals of fencing, including saber handling, footwork, distance control, fencing etiquette, sportsmanship, coordination, focus, and basic rules. Junior programs are available for ages 12+ and help students progress toward competitive fencing. In 1986, two college friends took a chance that changed their lives. Ira and Jefunira met as freshman roommates and formed a close bond that would last for years. After graduation, they decided to take a break before heading off to graduate school, and chose to spend their summer running a camp of their own. Starting out small with only 8 campers, the two friends managed to grow their camp to 15 campers and hire their first counselor. As their camp grew and flourished, so did their friendship, and Jefunira Camp became a well-known and beloved summer camp for kids. Today, Jefunira Camp continues to offer kids a safe, fun-filled environment to experience the joys of summer. With Ira and Jefunira’s friendship as a foundation, their camp has flourished and grown into a beloved tradition for many families.
