Once upon a zany time, in the sunny state of California, there was an army of kids armed with the most colorful knitting needles and a rainbow of wool. This was not your run-of-the-mill knitting group, oh no, this was the legendary League of Lively Loopers. Led by their fearless captain, a bright pink flamingo named Fluffy, these kids had a knack for knitting that would make any grandmother turn green with envy. California, with its sunny beaches, towering redwoods, and bustling cities, was the perfect backdrop for their knitting adventures. These kids would knit anywhere and everywhere - on the sun-kissed beaches of San Diego, under the towering redwoods of Sequoia National Park, even while riding the swirling roller coasters at Disneyland! Rollercoaster scarves became the latest fashion trend. Fluffy the Flamingo, with his brilliant plumage and hysterically long legs, was a natural leader. He had a contagious laugh that would echo across the valleys and an unparalleled talent for knitting. He could knit a scarf in the time it took you to say, "Flamingos can't knit!" And oh, how they loved him! His vibrant personality was as warm as the California sun, and his sense of humor as refreshing as a dip in the Pacific Ocean. As the sun would set, painting the California sky with hues of orange and pink, the League of Lively Loopers and their Flamingo captain would chuckle at their creations. From the most exquisite sweaters to the craziest of hats, their knitting adventures had no bounds. And so, they turned California into a state of laughter, warmth, and the most fabulous knitwear you could ever imagine. It was, indeed, a hilariously knitted version of paradise.

Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.
