Every day at the break of dawn, after a hearty breakfast of pancakes and laughter, our fearless Rope Course Kids march towards their favorite playground - the towering Rope Course, shimmering under the Californian sun. They scramble up the ropes, swing on the vines, and zip through the air, whooping with joy, their laughter echoing off the Golden Gate Bridge! At Brave Trails, we strive to be a safe and affirming space for LGBTQ+ youth. Our accredited summer camps, backpacking trips, and family camps provide a supportive environment where youth can explore and express their identity. Our meet-up groups provide a platform for LGBTQ+ youth to connect with one another and share experiences. Our mental health services offer specialized care for LGBTQ+ youth, ensuring that their needs are met with respect and understanding. Beyond summer camps and meet-up groups, Brave Trails also works to provide LGBTQ+ youth with the skills and knowledge they need to create meaningful change in their communities. Our year-round leadership programming focuses on helping youth find their people, place, and passion. We believe that by teaching young people how to use their voice to advocate for their rights and those of their community, they can become the leaders of tomorrow.
