In the adventurous land of AR (also known as Arkansas), where the hot summer sun teases the cotton fields and the Ozark Mountains dance with the clouds, there exists a group of extraordinary kids. These kids, known as the "Speedy Tornadoes," are not your typical bunch. They are experts in a special sport known as Track and Field, and they're faster than a hungry coyote chasing tumbleweed! Every afternoon, after the school bell rings and the last notes of mathematics have drifted away, the "Speedy Tornadoes" gather at the school's sun-drenched field. Their leader, a girl with flaming-red hair called "Twister Tess," calls the shots. Twister Tess is as swift as a whirlwind, and it's rumored she once outraced a startled rabbit, who's now in therapy from the shock! Twister Tess leads the "Speedy Tornadoes" through a series of fun and exciting activities. They leap over hurdles taller than a baby giraffe, race faster than a roadrunner wearing roller skates, and even throw heavy discs and spears, just like the ancient Olympians (though, fortunately, no actual ancient Greeks are ever around to get hit!). These fantastic AR kids love Track and Field more than a catfish loves muddy water. Nothing can stop them from enjoying their sport, not even the occasional raincloud that sometimes drifts over from a sulky Mississippi. When they're not transforming into speedy tornadoes, they're just regular kids who enjoy sweet apple pies, country fairs, and lazy river adventures. But when they tie their shoelaces and step onto that field, they become heroic athletes, faster than a bolt of lightning and ready to blow away anyone who challenges them!
