Hidden beneath the mighty Mississippi River, nestled between the Ozark Mountains and the fertile Delta, lies the amazing state of Arkansas, the magical playground of a delightful and quirky character, the "Gizmo Gremlin". Now don't let the name fool you, the Gizmo Gremlin is not your typical gremlin. He doesn't mess things up; instead, he loves using his fantastical gizmos to teach kids about the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, also known as STEAM. Arkansas is brimming with kids who are just as curious and innovative as the Gizmo Gremlin. They are the daring pioneers of the STEAM world, braving the unknown to create dazzling inventions. They can turn a simple can into a robot, paint a masterpiece using only mathematics, or build a treehouse using engineering principles. The Gizmo Gremlin is always amazed at these Arkansas kids. He chuckles as he often finds himself tangled in a web of wires, or covered head to toe in paint, much to the delight of these young inventors. These kids aren't just learning; they're having a blast as they discover the power of their own creativity. In the land of Arkansas, where the mockingbirds sing and the pine forests grow, the Gizmo Gremlin and the kids are crafting a world of innovation. They explore, they imagine, and they invent. And amidst the laughter, the mess, and the occasional explosion (don't worry, it's usually just a science experiment), the kids of Arkansas are preparing to shape the future, one gizmo at a time. So, buckle up folks, because in Arkansas, STEAM isn't just a subject, it's an adventure!

The US Engineering League is a prominent nationwide establishment that passionately supports STEM-focused education. We believe in the power of experiential learning and thus emphasize hands-on learning through competitive challenges. Since our inception in 2018, we have been the proud USA National Office for the acclaimed World Robot Olympiad, a global robotics competition that has over 35,000 participants from more than 80 countries. In addition to robotics, our educational offerings span across various STEM sectors such as coding, eSports, engineering, science and more. We're delighted to be connected with several of the most prominent STEM competition organizations. Our primary learning center is nestled in the heart of Naperville, IL. However, we understand the importance of accessibility and have therefore expanded our reach. We offer our well-rounded programs at a range of locations including schools, community centers, park districts, libraries, and even religious institutions. We are committed to making our educational opportunities available to as many children as possible, regardless of their location. At the US Engineering League, we're not just about teaching; we're about inspiring. We take immense pride in our ability to inspire the younger generation to master the skills that are vital for long-term success in STEM-based careers. We strongly believe that nurturing these skills from a young age can set the foundation for a successful and rewarding career in the rapidly evolving STEM fields.

Board Member Dean Skaer emphasizes the importance of relationships at the camp, encouraging campers to get to know their cabin mates and develop healthy relationships throughout their lives. The camp facility, staff, and AmeriCorps members become a second home for our campers. Parents can appreciate the lasting relationships the camp and its staff provide, as campers can return year after year, and may even become AmeriCorps, staff, or CITs themselves. We strive to create an environment that is safe, nurturing, and accepting of all campers, where they can build friendships that will last a lifetime. At Joseph Pfeifer Kiwanis Camp, we believe that building relationships is a fundamental part of developing overall wellbeing.
