Once upon a time, in the quirky and quirky state of Arkansas, where people have a particular fondness for soda pop, catfish, and saying words like "y'all", there was a band of kids who were absolutely bonkers about something else. You see, these were no ordinary kids, they were the Football Frenzies, a team of youngsters with an unquenchable thirst for football. Among them was Billy "Biscuit" Baxter, so-named because he was round, soft, and could always be found near food. But don't you dare underestimate Biscuit! He could launch a football clear across the field, faster than a raccoon running away with an unattended picnic basket. Then there was Suzie "Sonic" Saunders, the fastest girl in all of Arkansas. When she started running, she turned into a blur, a rapid whirlwind of red hair and freckles. Rumor has it she once outran a jackrabbit, although the jackrabbit was not available for comment. And let's not forget Eddie "Eagle Eye" Edwards. Now, Eddie was as skinny as a twig and had glasses thicker than the bottom of a Coke bottle. But boy, could he spot an open player from a mile away! He could throw a pass with such precision, it would make a dart champion green with envy. Together, under the vibrant Arkansas sky, these gridiron warriors would meet on the warm, lush green fields to enjoy the thrill of the game. Their laughter and cheers echoed through the air, as their passion for football brought joy, unity, and a little bit of friendly chaos to the heart of their beloved state.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
