This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. What compels these mature adults to give up a week of their hard-earned vacation to go to Indian Creek Youth Camp? They leave behind the comforts of their own beds, forgoing the warmth and convenience of their own master baths for a cold, concrete-block bath house. They come because they believe in the mission of the camp and want to share in the experiences of the campers. The adults at Indian Creek Youth Camp come to serve as counselors and role models. They come to share their life experiences and to help teach the campers how to lead meaningful and purposeful lives. They come to provide guidance, friendship, and understanding. The adults come to make a difference in the lives of the 190 children that gather for the week-long camp. Their presence makes a profound impression on the campers.
