Once upon a cotton candy cloud, in the dazzling state of Alabama, a peculiar character named Tummy Tickler Tom lived. Alabama, known as the Heart of Dixie, is a place where the sun winks at the rivers, the mountains play hide and seek with the clouds, and the cotton fields sway like ballerinas in the warm southern breeze. It's home to the most curious critters and the most delicious, mouth-watering food you can imagine. And Tummy Tickler Tom, with his apron stitched from laughter and his chef's hat made from moonbeams, is the finest, funniest chef in all of Alabama. Now, the kids of Alabama, with dreams as big as the southern sky, love to gather in Tummy Tickler Tom's magical kitchen. They're an adventurous bunch, from the hilltops of Huntsville to the bayous of Mobile. The moment they step into Tom's kitchen, their eyes sparkle brighter than the stars, and their laughter rings out like jingle bells. Each with a wooden spoon in hand like a wand, they whip up storms in their mixing bowls. From baking fluffy unicorn muffins that giggle when you touch them, to grilling rainbow burgers that bounce when you drop them, they're the zaniest junior chefs you'll ever meet. They even made chocolate pizzas that could sing lullabies and dancing candy canes once! Cooking isn't just an activity for these little Alabamian wizards, but a wild, whimsical adventure. An escapade of flavors, fun, and a hearty sprinkle of fairy dust. And at the heart of it all, with a belly full of laughter, is our dear Tummy Tickler Tom.

Each year, approximately 60 adults sign up to take part in the camp experience. These adults are usually members of local churches and are familiar with the camp's mission and goals. What compels these mature adults to give up a week of their hard-earned vacation to go to Indian Creek Youth Camp? They leave behind the comforts of their own beds, forgoing the warmth and convenience of their own master baths for a cold, concrete-block bath house. They come because they believe in the mission of the camp and want to share in the experiences of the campers. The adults at Indian Creek Youth Camp come to serve as counselors and role models. They come to share their life experiences and to help teach the campers how to lead meaningful and purposeful lives. They come to provide guidance, friendship, and understanding. The adults come to make a difference in the lives of the 190 children that gather for the week-long camp. Their presence makes a profound impression on the campers. At Indian Creek Youth Camp, adults have the opportunity to share in the joys of life and give back to the next generation. It is a unique experience that many adults find deeply rewarding. They come to the camp, despite the discomfort of the cabins and bath houses, to be a part of something bigger than themselves.
