In the extraordinary state of Alaska, also known as the land of the midnight sun and the kingdom of snow, there exists a group of spectacular kids, full of energy and passion for Sportsfield activities. They are known in the frosty tundra as the "Snowball Gladiators," named after their valiant leader, a hilarious, imaginary character named "Polar Pete." Pete, with his fur of sparkling white snow and a carrot nose sharper than the icicles hanging from the roofs, inspires the kids of Alaska to play, laugh, and make every day an adventure. His belly, rounder than a snowball, jiggles as he dives, dashes, and tumbles around the fields, creating contagious laughter that echoes across the vast, snowy plains. Snowball Gladiators are not your typical kids; they are mini warriors who never let the chilly Alaskan weather stop their fun. They compete in the most thrilling snow soccer matches, ice hockey games, and snowball fights of epic proportions under the pastel-colored sky. Each laugh, cheer, and playful taunt against their opponents fills the cold, crisp Alaskan air with the warmth of their spirit. Despite the temperatures dropping below zero, the Snowball Gladiators, with their rosy cheeks, sparkling eyes, and infectious giggles, are always ready for an epic Sportsfield showdown. After a long day of fun and games, you can find them, huddled around Polar Pete, ready to share the tales of their Arctic adventures under the dancing aurora borealis. So, if you ever find yourself in the magical winter wonderland of Alaska, remember to look out for the Snowball Gladiators and their jolly leader, Polar Pete. They're sure to sweep you up in their whirlwind of fun, laughter, and the true spirit of Alaskan Sportsfield adventures.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
