Far, far away, somewhere in the northernmost corner of the United States, surrounded by the frosty blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, lays the magical state of Alaska, or as our cool, imaginary character, Eskibob Waterfun, fondly calls it, "The Land of Midnight Sun and Breakfast at Moonrise." Eskibob, who was a polar bear but believed he was a dolphin, was the undisputed, self-proclaimed king of Alaskan waterskiing. Now, you must be thinking, "Waterskiing? In Alaska? With all the icebergs and glaciers?" Well, you betcha! The kids in Alaska were as hardy and adventurous as Eskibob himself! And Eskibob, with his flippers (which he insisted were his water-skis) would be leading the pack, sliding down mammoth glaciers with the greatest ease and performing somersaults that would make even the northern lights blush with envy! They would ski under the midnight sun, their laughter echoing across the frosty landscape, creating a magical symphony of joy and adventure. It may have been cold enough to freeze the whiskers off a walrus, but these kids were as warm as freshly baked blueberry pie! These Alaskan waterskiing escapades weren't for the faint-hearted. But as Eskibob would say, with a twinkle in his eyes and a flip of his flippers, "In Alaska, we don't feel the cold; we just have a lot of cool!"
